The spring started early for us with George and Barry McQueen heading out fishing on the 26th of February and George catching a 23 1/2 pound halibut. Then we were treated to one of the wonders of Nature with the herring spawning right in front of the campground. They started on the 1st of March and the spawning lasted for a week or so.
There were eagles, seals, sea lions and thousands of seagulls feeding on the herring and then a few killer whales were spotted looking for a seal or sea lion to feed on.
Just this last week
Easter Bunnies
have been spotted checking out spots to hide their eggs and kids big and small are all invited to look for a few chocolate eggs on Sunday April the 20th at 10:30.
