NEW YEAR!
Happy New Year, 2013 to all! We wish everyone a great year of camping, fishing and boating. To our returning customers, the Reservation Confirmation letters have been mailed out, so keep your eye out for it. The good news is that our rates remain unchanged from 2012. We have had some snow storms this Winter, but today is a cool crisp afternoon with calm seas and fresh snow glistening on the Coastal Mountains. Don't forget to check our web cam.
CornRoast
George donned the Chef's hat once again and cooked-up 75 cobs of corn to willing campers who enjoyed the sweet niblets of fresh local corn. The little ones also loved the corn which was so juicy it rolled down their faces! Thanks to Sharon who shucked all the cobs and Wendy for helping to serve. It was a great Labour Day Week-end. Now we have some hardy campers looking forward to the long week-end at Thanksgiving. The weather long range pattern looks good for the next 2 weeks, so don't put away your camping gear too early!
August Fun
Well, the weather was fantastic for our Annual Pancake breakfast which saw over 100 enthusiastic campers enjoying pancakes and bacon. Coffee and juice was also provided. Thanks goes to the ladies this year who cooked 15 lbs of bacon - Linda, Jean, Sandra, Bev and Linda.  Congratulations on a job well done! Sunday saw 21 participants in the Bull Head Derby with over 100 caught, measured and released. Elias captured the trophy this year with a 19 c.m. whopper. In keeping with the theme of the Olympics each child received a Medal for their participation and a prize. The derby would not be a success without the volunteer efforts of Madison, Mathias, Nick and Kirsten. As well, a big thank-you to Wendy & Debbie who cooked and served  the hotdogs. See you all next year for another great series of events over the B.C. Day week-end!
Another Tyee
Three generations teamed-up to land a whopping 35 lbs 8 ounces Tyee! Shelley, Rick and grandaughter spent the day hooking and landing the beauty on an ArmyTruck Hootchie. Congratulations!! The Resort is gearing-up for the Annual Pancake breakfast and Bullhead Derby over the long week-end. The Camp is fully booked with our returning regulars and it is great to see the familiar faces year after year!
